Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
